About the kit

Kit is ideal for purification of bacterial and eukaryotic DNA from complex samples (food and drink samples, tissue and faecal samples) or from bacterial cells with hard cell walls. Environmental samples like river sediments, municipal water, biofilms and air samples can also be processed using this kit.

The protocol and buffer composition are the result of extensive testing of nucleic acid extraction from different matrices and bacterial species.

The purified nucleic acids are ready for downstream application like PCR, real-time quantitative PCR, SNP detection, Southern blotting, FISH, etc.

Isolation protocol was tested for following microorganisms in different environmental samples:
Coxiella burnetii
Escherichia coli
Salmonella enterica

Campylobacter jejuni
Campylobacter coli

Staphylococcus aureus
Listeria monocytogenes

Mycobacterium avium subspecies avium
Mycobacterium avium
subspecies hominissuis
Mycobacterium avium
subspecies paratuberculosis
Bacillus subtilis
Pseudomonas spp.
Vibrio fischeri
Brevundimonas diminuta

Storage conditions

Kit should be tightly closed and stored at room temperature (15 - 25˚C) on arrival. Do not expose it to strong sun light or other heat sources. Under these conditions, stability is guaranteed up to at least 12 months. For increased longevity of the product, store at temperatures 2-8˚C. If precipitate is formed at low storage temperature, redissolve it by warming the buffer solutions to 37˚C before use.
